No – this is not a sequel of Harry Potter , it is the first book of „The Tapestry“ series.
The main character of Henry Neff’s book is Max McDaniels. After he encounters a museum tapestry revealing his destiny, he receives an invitation to attend the Rowan Academy. At Rowan he learns about his hidden powers, has to care for an assigned magical animal and of course is trained to fight against the evil. After a short time at Rowan Max learns that priceless artworks and other gifted children are disappearing from around the globe. Together with his roommate and new best friend David he takes on the evil of the world. With David’s intelligence, Max’s newly awakened mystic powers and the help of some friends they try to stop the evil Astaroth from taking over the world.
There are some similarities to the Harry Potter series, but Rowan really is a new world and not a simple Hogwarts copy. You can find new interesting mystical creatures and the story is really interesting with some unexpected turns.
